Calls for Collaborative Data Science Projects

The mission of the SDSC is to accelerate the adoption of data science and machine learning within academic disciplines of the ETH Domain, the Swiss academic community at large, and the industrial sector.

Towards that objective, the SDSC publishes an annual funding call for Collaborative Data Science Projects whose aim is to offer the possibility for research groups to benefit from the expertise of the SDSC and to undertake joint research projects with a strong data science component.

Call for Data Science projects

for the Large Scale Infrastructures (LSI) 2023

The Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC) will not run a general call for Collaborative Projects in 2023. The second period of funding of the SDSC as a strategic focus area is ending in 2024, and the SDSC is transitioning toward a new status and infrastructure as from 2025. We are happy to announce that we will resume calls for general Collaborative Projects in the spring of 2024.

We are still maintaining this year a restricted call focusing on Data Science projects for the Large Scale Infrastructures (LSI). LSI data science projects are collaborative Data Science projects for the design, operation, and exploitation of large and complex research infrastructures, technology platforms, sensor networks, and databases operated by PSI, Empa, WSL, or Eawag. A list of eligible infrastructures is provided in the call documentation. Please find more information below.
