SDSC Projects Information Day 2020
SDSC Projects
Information Day 2020

We are happy to announce our annual information session about the Swiss Data Science Center activities. The event will take place in the afternoon of Monday, May 18th as a Webinar (this link will be activated 15min before the event). We will present the fourth call for projects to collaborate with the SDSC. Also, you will learn about exciting new projects that the SDSC is starting in 2020 and you will get an overview of one of our poster-child collaborations from our first call.

A recording of the event will be available here after the webinar.

The SDSC aims to facilitate a strong synergy between data providers, data and computer scientists, and subject-matter experts, fostering scientific breakthroughs with significant societal impact. Projects showing an interdisciplinary character by linking research groups from traditionally separated disciplines are privileged.

The 4th Call for Collaborative Data Science Project will Open by June 1st 2020

The 3rd Call for Collaborative Data Science Projects is Open

The Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC) offers project grants for interdisciplinary research teams in one of these two themes:

– the in-depth analysis of a particular interdisciplinary data science problem in a specific scientific domain
– the development and the implementation of a technology or method
that has the potential of broadly enabling data science research

The average budget per project is expected to be between CHF 200’000.- and 600’000.- for a maximum duration of 24 months.

PHD FELLOWSHIPS

PHD FELLOWSHIPS

The SDSC funds Fellowships for PhD students currently enrolled at ETH Zürich or EPFL and supervised by Thesis Director from the same institution.
This call primarily targets research groups at EPFL and ETH Zurich that are working on data science and machine learning methods, broadly speaking. We invite proposals for research and development of data science methods, possibly motivated by a real-world use case, that have the potential of broadly enabling the adoption of data science in academia and industry.

2019 fellowships have been awarded.
Next PhD fellowships dates will be announced by the end of the year 2020.
