Data Science Enabled Acoustic Design – AADS

Problem:

  1. Acoustic design is often neglected in the majority of the built environment.
  2. The simulation of sound diffusion at different frequencies is computationally expensive.

Solution:

  1. Data collection from complex surface geometry and acoustic response
  2. Categorization of surface geometries
  3. Data driven simulation

Impact:

Bridging real-world models and data models will have a high impact in architectural acoustics
