Giacomo Sberveglieri

Giacomo joined the SDSC in June 2026 as a Data Scientist in the Innovation team, based in Lausanne.

Giacomo holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bern. His research focused on quantum field theory, combining analytical approaches with numerical and computational methods.More recently, Giacomo has been working on applied data science problems in healthcare and industry. He is particularly interested in understanding complex systems from data, combining statistical and machine learning methods with domain knowledge.
