Mateusz Fido
Mateusz Fido joined the SDSC in October 2026 as a Software Research & Development Engineer in the Infrastructure team, based in Zurich.
His background is in biophysics, combining life science and medical applications with computational methods. Mateusz studied Biophysics at the University of Warsaw, then did his PhD in the Zenobi Group (D-CHAB) at ETH Zurich, where he was applying high-resolution mass spectrometry in metabolomics, and developing computational pipelines for the analysis of liquid chromatography and mass spec data.
He then did a 6-month postdoctoral stay at Alexander Leitner’s group (D-BIOL) where he was writing search engines for cross-linking mass spectrometry and proteomics in general.
