The SDSC and SIB are joining forces to build a secure data processing environment for personalized health research

While we know for certain that global temperature is rising, other questions still remain surrounded by uncertainty. How strongly will the Earth’s temperature respond to increasing CO2 levels? What changes will happen on regional scales and how strong will they be?

The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Swiss Data Science Center cooperate on a research project to better understand patterns of violence. This project is a concrete example of how data science can work out an effective model based on publicly available data, delivering a measurable humanitarian impact.
